The formal description of an object is always problematic for non-experts. When words are insufficient it’s possible to communicate graphically. But most people cannot draw.
However, if you happen to lose your baggage at the airport, don’t worry about having to describe exactly its shape: airlines have prepared a drawn inventory of travel container shapes, divided by types and models – from the hatbox to the beauty case, from the executive to the loose bag – which makes up for the inability of average users to graphically describe their own baggage.
It is obvious that if your suitcase is not in the chart, and you do not know how to draw it, you will never find it.
